Titanium Dioxide Rutile Grade

Titanium Dioxide has two types:
* Anatase Grade
* Rutile Grade
Rutile is a mineral composed primarily of titanium dioxide (TiO2), also is the most common natural form of TiO2.
Anatase is a mineral form of titanium dioxide (TiO2). The mineral is almost always encountered as a black solid, although the pure material is colorless or white.
While anatase is not an equilibrium phase of TiO2, it is stable near room temperature. At temperatures between 550 and about 1000 °C, anatase converts to rutile.
The main uses for rutile are the manufacture of refractory ceramic, as a pigment, and for the production of titanium metal.
Finely powdered rutile is a brilliant white pigment and is used in paints, plastics, paper, foods, and other applications that call for a bright white color.
Titanium dioxide pigment is the single greatest use of titanium worldwide.

Properties

** Particle Size
The hydrolysis process enables rutile grade general purpose Titanium Dioxide to be of small particle size, and have whiter tint, blue undertone and higher hiding power.
** Surface treatment
The optical performance of rutile grade Titanium Dioxide can achieve the greatest effect by means of advanced inorganic and organic surface treatment with zirconium and aluminum. Zirconium compound has been utilized for surface treatment which enables rutile grade Titanium Dioxide to have better hiding power, higher luster and excellent weather resistance.
** Particle size distribution

The particle size distribution is more concentrated with adoption of strict hydrolysis calcinations process, giving rutile grade a higher luster, better dispersibility, excellent hiding power and color strength.
